Chuck Taylor Genius work. I hope they come out with new sounds, but even if they didn't, I'd be happy with their current discog. No one utilizes time signatures and staccato like Portal.
JAH

JAH Probably the first and definitely the best band in the "blurry occult blackened death metal" genre (i.e., Mitochondrion, Opowis, etc.). Portal, the blurriest of all, will live on through the ages. Favorite track: Omenknow.
Mark Lindhout

Mark Lindhout Stranger, weirder than all their colleagues, Portal have no real equal in this world. The whirling riffs, staccato compositions are a soundtrack to queasiness and vertigo.

If you'd like to know what it would feel like to have your soul extracted from your body through your nose, this record is a good start.

Also: Time. Favorite track: Werships.
