warren barton Eater of Birds has somewhat of a cult classic tag attached to it,the ultimate blueprint as to a metal album should sound. Killer riffs layered upon killer riffs and such tight written metaltastic songs that upon listen you just want to head headbang like a loonie. Masterpiece is one word I would describe this album🤘👏 Favorite track: Witherer.

Ippocalyptica One of the best black metal albums of the 2000s, Eater of Birds is both Cobalt’s most intense as well as most experimental album, moving effortlessly between fast and mid-paced black metal compositions and slower, ambient pieces. Erik Wunder, who remains the primary songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is at peak form here, with a monstrous drum performance and very memorable, powerful, and aggressive riffing that together combine for a mesmerising experience. Pantheon-level metal. Favorite track: Invincible Sun.
